Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 20, 2026 Publisher: Seeley Games

This Privacy Policy explains how Seeley Games collects, uses, stores, discloses, and deletes information in connection with Word Rush, related support channels, and Word Rush web pages hosted at seeleygames.com.

Word Rush includes optional Google Sign-In, anonymous Firebase-based account creation, cloud save and multiplayer features, and an in-app account deletion option. This policy is intended to describe those features in plain language so players understand what data is involved and what choices are available.

1. Who We Are

Seeley Games is the publisher and operator of Word Rush. For privacy, support, or deletion questions, you can contact Seeley Games at word.rush.help@gmail.com.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • The Word Rush mobile application.
  • Word Rush online services, including cloud save, competitive matchmaking, daily challenge syncing, and support workflows.
  • Word Rush website pages hosted at seeleygames.com, including the privacy, support, terms, and account deletion pages.

3. Information We Collect

The exact data processed depends on which features you use. Word Rush may collect or store the following categories of information:

3.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Display name or other profile details you choose to set in the game.
  • Support information you send to us, including your email address, account identifiers, screenshots, and the contents of your messages.
  • Deletion-request information you provide through the in-app or web deletion flow.

3.2 Account and Authentication Information

  • Firebase Authentication user IDs and internal player profile IDs.
  • Anonymous account identifiers created when you choose to play anonymously.
  • If you choose Google Sign-In, information made available through that sign-in flow such as your Google account email address, name, profile image, and Google/Firebase account identifiers.

3.3 Gameplay, Profile, and Multiplayer Data

  • Game settings, tutorial completion state, and local account preferences.
  • Progression data such as achievements, wallet balances, pets, dungeon progress, daily challenge status, competitive history, and gameplay statistics.
  • Multiplayer and social gameplay records such as match IDs, lobby codes, player IDs, round submissions, scores, rankings, claim status, and rewards.
  • Support-ticket metadata and related account references.

3.4 Technical, Usage, Analytics, and Diagnostic Data

  • Device and app information such as app version, operating system, device type, timestamps, and general service interaction data.
  • Network and service metadata that may be generated when you use Firebase, website hosting, or analytics-supported features.
  • Analytics or measurement data processed through Firebase Analytics, plus crash and diagnostic reports processed through Firebase Crashlytics, when enabled for the app configuration.

3.5 Local Device Data

Word Rush stores some information locally on your device so the app can function and resume correctly. This may include saved progress, settings, active runs, locally cached profile data, and onboarding state.

3.6 Data We Do Not Currently Request

Based on the current Android build, Word Rush does not currently request access to your contacts, precise location, microphone, camera, SMS, or call logs.

4. How We Collect Information

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Directly from you, such as when you choose a display name, submit a support request, or sign in with Google.
  • Automatically from your use of the app and related online services, such as gameplay activity, multiplayer state, and cloud synchronization.
  • From third-party services you choose to use with the app, such as Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication.

5. How We Use Information

  • To create, maintain, and restore player accounts and game progress.
  • To operate gameplay systems including daily challenges, dungeon runs, competitive matchmaking, private lobbies, rewards, and account-linked features.
  • To authenticate users and support account recovery across devices.
  • To respond to support requests, bug reports, and deletion requests.
  • To monitor app performance, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and improve the service.
  • To detect abuse, cheating, fraud, or other misuse of the app.
  • To comply with legal obligations and maintain records required for legitimate security, audit, or compliance purposes.

6. Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication

Word Rush allows players to either play anonymously or sign in with Google. Anonymous accounts let players use the game without immediately attaching a Google identity. Google Sign-In is intended to make it easier to restore your account on a new device or after reinstalling the app.

If you choose Google Sign-In, Google and Firebase may provide us with limited profile and authentication data necessary to complete the sign-in process. Seeley Games uses this information for account authentication, account linking, and cross-device restoration. Your personal Google account details are not shown to other players just because you signed in with Google.

You can unlink your continued use of Google Sign-In by deleting your Word Rush account, using an anonymous account instead, or managing connected app access through your Google account settings where applicable.

7. Third-Party Services and Processors

Word Rush currently relies on third-party infrastructure providers to operate the game and website. These may include:

  • Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Firebase Hosting, Firebase Analytics, Firebase App Check, and Firebase Crashlytics.
  • Google Sign-In for optional account authentication and recovery.
  • Email providers or webmail services used to receive support or deletion communications.

These providers may process information on our behalf to host the service, authenticate users, store cloud data, deliver website pages, or support account operations.

8. Disclosure of Information

Seeley Games does not sell player personal information. We may disclose information only in limited circumstances such as:

  • To service providers that operate the app or website.
  • To comply with applicable law, legal process, or enforceable governmental requests.
  • To protect the rights, property, safety, and security of Seeley Games, players, or the public.
  • In connection with a business transfer, merger, sale, or asset transaction if the service changes ownership in the future.

9. Data Retention

We retain data for as long as reasonably necessary to operate Word Rush, preserve player progress, maintain multiplayer integrity, process support issues, and satisfy legal, security, anti-fraud, tax, audit, or recordkeeping obligations.

When you delete your account, we aim to delete or de-identify the account-linked data that is no longer needed. Some limited records may remain for legitimate reasons such as fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backup cycling.

10. Account Deletion and Data Deletion

Word Rush provides both an in-app and a web-based deletion path.

  • In-app deletion: Use the Settings screen and tap Delete Account.
  • Web deletion resource: Delete Account

For cloud-backed accounts, the automated deletion flow is designed to remove the associated authentication record and player data tied to that account, including player profile records and related competitive, private match, daily challenge, and support-linked records where applicable.

Deleting an account does not always remove data stored only on the device itself. To remove remaining local data, you may also need to uninstall the app or clear its device storage.

11. Your Choices and Rights

  • You may choose whether to use Google Sign-In or continue with an anonymous account.
  • You may request deletion assistance or privacy support by contacting word.rush.help@gmail.com.
  • Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about how your data is processed. We will review and respond to requests as required by applicable law.

12. International Processing

Word Rush uses service providers that may process data in the United States and other countries where they or their infrastructure operate. By using the app, you understand that information may be processed outside your home jurisdiction, subject to applicable law and the safeguards used by those providers.

13. Legal Bases for Processing

If privacy laws in your region require a legal basis for processing, we generally rely on one or more of the following:

  • Performance of a contract, such as providing the game and account features you request.
  • Legitimate interests, such as operating, securing, and improving the service.
  • Consent, where required, for optional features or applicable analytics processing.
  • Compliance with legal obligations.

14. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information processed in connection with Word Rush. However, no method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

15. Children's Privacy

Word Rush is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information through Word Rush in a way that should be removed, contact us and include enough detail to help identify the relevant account or record.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and may provide additional notice where appropriate.

17. Contact

Questions about privacy, data deletion, or this policy can be sent to word.rush.help@gmail.com.
